NEWTONGRANGE… WE NEED YOU!
Newtongrange Childrens Gala Day is a tradition that has ran in our village for over 100 years.
This tradition is now under threat and we are now having to call a Extraordinary General Meeting .
The Gala committee is running extremely low on volunteers and office bearers to keep this tradition alive.
We need the following positions filled so we can continue to operate:
We also require a few extra committee members to help us with planning and running one of Midlothian’s best Gala Days.
All new office bearers and committee members will be supported by the remaining experienced committee members who will help you settle into your position.
If you think you may be able to help us we would like to invite you to our EGM.
Our Extraordinary General Meeting is open to all in the community.
We will be holding our EGM in The Dean Taverns Function Suite on Wednesday 3rd of November at 7:30pm
We look forward to seeing you.
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak the committee has taken the decision with the support of Midlothian Council to postpone the 2020 Gala Day till the 12th of September 2020.

We will continue to update this page with the latest information.

Through wind, rain, sleet, snow and sunshine, Newtongrange Children's Gala Day Committee, Newtongrange Scouts, members of the 2016 Gala court and several members of the community braved the elements to walk the streets of Newtongrange to raise money for the Gala Day. Each year we spend 3 evenings doing a door to door collection and thanks to the generous donations from the community we are able to continue putting on events throughout the year.
