I as chair of Newtongrange Children's Gala Day have been able to secure power to our static stage within Newtongrange Welfare Park. This stage is for the community to use and will mean that more family events can happen throughout the year. I am pleased to say Counsellor Catherine Johnstone gave monetary assistance to make this happen with the help of Wayne Clark from the Council . Newtongrange Children's Gala Day would like to thank Counsellor Catherine Johnstone and Wayne Clarke for their help and expertise. - Denise (Chairperson) Newtongrange Gala Day committee would like to thank Newtongrange & St Andrew's Primary Schools for allowing them to have an information table at parents night.
Newtongrange Gala Committee would like to thank road users for their patience whilst the flags were being put up this morning (4/6/16) and Midlothian Council for their assistance and expertise in putting up the flags . Through wind, rain, sleet, snow and sunshine, Newtongrange Children's Gala Day Committee, Newtongrange Scouts, members of the 2016 Gala court and several members of the community braved the elements to walk the streets of Newtongrange to raise money for the Gala Day. Each year we spend 3 evenings doing a door to door collection and thanks to the generous donations from the community we are able to continue putting on events throughout the year. Congratulations to King Cameron and Queen Paige and the 2016 Gala Court. We look forward to working with you all in the upcoming weeks to put on one of the best galas in Midlothian.
